My Treatment Approach
My practice is guided by psychodynamic theory with integration of person-centered principles and aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Treatment begins with a comprehensive intake evaluation (1 or 2 sessions) to obtain relevant information of your presenting issues and personal history. The therapeutic relationship is the foundation of successful treatment. I will work collaboratively with you to decide the focus, goals and duration of treatment. Throughout the course of treatment, I will integrate techniques based on various evidence-based intervention and use the multicultural lens to understand you psychologically, socially, and culturally. In addition to English, I can provide treatment in Mandarin.
